This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. This private reference cannot retrieve records, certify copies, verify a current occupant, or change a government roll. Direct those requests to the agency that maintains the record. For an emergency, call 911. If stalking or harassment is involved, contact local law enforcement.
Choose the Yucca Valley Record Route
For common Yucca Valley research questions, these starting points keep the request with the right custodian:
- An address or street: begin with the Yucca Valley streets workflow and the County parcel map
- Older listings and past residents: use the Yucca Valley city directory collections guide
- One person to verify: follow the Yucca Valley resident lookup sequence across official sources
- County-held records: consult the ARC Official Records page, or use its service directory for Recorder-Clerk functions
- A Town record that is not posted: submit a focused request through the Town of Yucca Valley NextRequest portal under the California Public Records Act
Official county public-records contact: San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk (ARC), Official Records and Recorder-Clerk services, arc.sbcounty.gov/official-records/. Mail copy requests to 222 W. Hospitality Lane, 1st Floor, San Bernardino, CA 92415-0022. Recorder-Clerk: 909-387-8306. Assessor: 909-387-8307. ARC location information identifies the Hall of Records and the High Desert Government Center in Hesperia for recorder image access, plus a Joshua Tree assessor location for the Morongo Basin. It does not provide a stable address or counter schedule for those satellite locations. Hours: confirm the current schedule on the ARC locations page before visiting. County mail requests ordinarily return in one to two weeks, and appointments are strongly encouraged.
For public records, the California Public Records Act uses Government Code Sections 7920.000 et seq. An agency normally makes its determination within 10 calendar days and may extend that determination by up to 14 days in unusual circumstances under Section 7922.535. Court case files follow court-access rules rather than the CPRA. The San Bernardino Superior Court CAP portal is the appropriate county court starting point.
